The same ownership structure can give rise to different problems: a postponed appointment, financial statements that have not been approved, or a disputed investment. Start with a specific decision and establish what has happened.
Three questions to start with
- What decision is needed, and which body should take it?
- Is there a documented date by which a decision must be made?
- Have alternatives been put forward, and with what result?

Next steps
The guide to 50–50 companies looks more closely at quorum requirements and alternatives. This route helps identify the issue to examine, without treating every disagreement as a permanent deadlock.
Before sending documents or confidential information, wait for the conflict-of-interest checks and the firm’s instructions. Initial contact does not create an engagement.
